A Black woman in last light on Cannon Beach, copper on the cheek, hair in the wind

Cannon Beach · Last light

The wind tells the truth. The pigment should too.

A Black woman with a very deep complexion in last light on Cannon Beach, copper on the cheek, hair in the wind.

Hair in the mouth. Gold on wet sand. Melumina mixes for melanin in that hour — then ships the pigments in one box.

We did not need more light. We needed a formula that could stand in it.

Close study of very deep complexion in last-hour sun: copper highlighter, hibiscus flush, oxblood mouth

Origin

Built for melanin, in the last hour of coastal light.

Cannon Beach taught the house a rule studio lighting never learned: wet sand throws gold into rich skin, and the Pacific will ash any base mixed for fair undertones. A shade is only perfect if it survives the air around it — and if it still looks like skin.

Copper instead of ice. Hibiscus instead of a pink that vanishes. Foundation without beige. This is not a deep slider on a fair range. It is a house that started with the darkest sitting in the room.

The Pacific does not wait for the makeup to settle.

Lookbook

The same house. Four hours. Four mouths that did not flinch.

Marrakech, High noon

Marrakech · High noon

Hard sun, indigo shade, a spice mouth that holds.

Portland, Overcast noon

Portland · Overcast noon

Green bounce. Blush as corrector. No ash.

Positano, Last light

Positano · Last light

Honeyed limestone. Copper lid. Coral that is still deep.

Cannon Beach, Last light

Cannon Beach · Last light

The same gold on a man. The sitting is the person.

The house keeps

Four rules. No ice. No beige. No scavenger hunt.

  1. 01

    The hour, not the bulb

A sitting starts with a place. The colorist reads kelvin and bounce from the photograph — Cannon Beach gold, Portland green, Marrakech noon.

  2. 02

    Melanin first

The house is mixed for the darkest sitting in the room. No beige slider. No ice highlighter. Copper, hibiscus, espresso, oxblood.

  3. 03

    Lattice, not chalk

Shine that still looks like skin when the Pacific is in the room — not ice. Copper that stays copper.

  4. 04

    Picture to tracking

One kit. One checkout. One number from Cannon Beach. The box is the last scene, not a scavenger hunt.

Method

Place. Face. Pigment. Box.

Picture to tracking number. The method.

  1. 01

    The place

Cannon Beach, a Marrakech courtyard, the Portland Japanese Garden — or a photograph of somewhere you love. The colorist reads kelvin and bounce.

  2. 02

    The face

Sit as yourself, or with Nia, Imani, Zora, Kwame, Omari, or Sekou. Six deep complexions. The house is mixed for melanin first.

  3. 03

    The box

Live shades packed as one kit. Pay the atelier once. A tracking number follows it from Cannon Beach to the door.

Voice

They sat. The Pacific did not grey them.

Nia
Wet sand threw gold I had never been mixed for. The hibiscus stayed. The Pacific did not grey me.
Nia · Cannon Beach
Zora
Cool-red, very deep. Every highlighter I owned went ice. Copper Leaf is the first that still looks like my cheek.
Zora · Cannon Beach
Sekou
They did not make a men's aisle. They sat me in the same last light. The sitting is the person.
Sekou · Cannon Beach

Asked

Before you sit.

How does a sitting work?

Photograph a place, or choose a light the house already keeps. Photograph a face — yours, or sit as Nia, Imani, Zora, Kwame, Omari, or Sekou. The colorist mixes for that hour. You pay once. A tracking number follows the box.

Is this real makeup?

Yes. House creams packed at Cannon Beach, plus live Fenty, M·A·C, Haus Labs, Pat McGrath, and Rare Beauty SKUs when the sitting needs a base the tin does not cover. You leave with product, not a moodboard.

What about men?

Same door. Same film. Kwame, Omari, Sekou sit in the lookbook. The house does not split the range by gender — it splits by light and skin.

How long to the door?

House tins leave Cannon Beach. Partner bases ship from the brand that mixed them. You track one Melumina number, not five retailer emails.

What is the shine?

A cream mixed so last light still reads on melanin. Mica alone ices her. The house mix does not ash.

The last ask

Sit in the light that made the house.

Photograph a place. Photograph a face. Leave with a number.
